Ash tree

These are buds on the Ash tree. We still have two of them and hope we don't lose them to the ash borer.

I have been amazed by the buds on the trees this year. I've never taken notice of them before. God's creativity fascinates me; everything (trees, birds, bugs, flowers, people, etc.) is so detailed, so different from each other within a type.

Hm, didn't know that there was such a thing as an ash borer. What it is it, anway?

There are several different kinds of ash borers. They are beetle-like insects that bore into a tree eating as they go. They also lay eggs there. That's about all I know at this point.
