Today's bird happenings
More birdbath fun... Testing the waters.
"What fun it is."
"Aah..."
"I think I'll go back for more."
And then I got to see a great blue heron. We had one visit a couple years ago. I was glad to see one today. I had to take the picture through the screened window, but it didn't turn out to badly.
We had to give up our bird bath. the crows found it and brought the most disgusting vermin there to dismember and eat, leaving the carcasses behind. I miss watching the small birds drink, bathe, and sing there.
I love the action shots with the water. Birds are so fun to watch bathe. My parents' bird tries to bathe in her water bowl which is quite the feat given that there is a bar that goes through the middle of it that prevents her from dumping the bowl (she really likes the sound of the water hitting the paper below her).

Wow. We found a dead heron in our yard in Indiana once. That was fascinating enough. But a live one...

Thank-you for visiting my blog! I love the pictures of the birds. I saw a heron in Germany last year, it was amazing. God Bless.
