Nightgown pattern

This is the pattern I used for the nightgown. It's from 1980. I made a collar to go with it from another pattern. I just traced the neckline of this pattern to make it fit right. I also added cuffs instead of the ruffle on the sleeves. It goes all the way to the floor on my tall dd and is very warm.

Thanks for sharing the pattern. Is it an older pattern, or do you think I could find it at my local fabric/pattern place, which is Joanne's. It's funny you mentioned the same thing I was thinking about the dress I pictured on my blog. I was thinking of just sewing a little piece of fabric up on top where the V is, obviously on the inside. I'm not experienced enough to try to alter the pattern and close up the V so that it meets higher up. Does that make sense? Do you think the fabric behind the V is doable?

Yes, a piece of fabric behind the v should work. I've never done that, but I have a friend who has.

The nightgown pattern isn't available anymore, but Joanns does have a couple similar ones in the It's so Easy brand and the Stitch N Save. I didn't find them on their websites but my store still has them.

I love it. I love the PJ version, too. I would live in flannel, if I could, LOL!

I LOVE watching your sewing projects! I think you are getting a good bit more adventuresome than you used to be with it too, right? ;-)

Yes, I am stretching myself. Although I must say that I usually am complaining the whole way. ; ) Well, maybe not complaining, but doubting and then praying a lot.
