Taking down the tree

We took the Christmas tree down yesterday. Notice all the needles on the floor. I don't remember having a tree shed quite that much.

While we were a bit sad to take it down, it's nice to have the room put back in normal order.

When I first saw the picture I though it was outside because of all the needles. We just took down our tree too.

Oh, Bethany just took my comment. I was thinking the same thing. When I first saw the picture I thought it was a post on how you put your tree outside. The white on the floor behind the tree looked a little like snow. lol

I'm thinking what a job to clean the needles up. They say not to use the vacuum because of the fire hazard; but a broom is usually somewhat futile too. Thus, the old "pick-up-sticks" method?

I have a "Sweep-a" a broom I bought at a home show in WI. It works wonders in getting those needles up. After most are picked up that way we vacuum.

WOW! What a lot of needles. . . but I'm not an expert on the matter. ;-)
