I did it!! I will admit it was stressful and I wasn't elated afterwards and I only broke one needle when it hit the presser foot. Oh and I didn't even shed a tear, but I thought about it. But the zipper is in and it actually looks pretty good. I'm sure that's due, in part, to the thread matching the fabric well enough that you can't see it too well. ; ) So now Amy informs me that I've done it once I can do it many more times. We'll see...

Yes, I've learned you can't just hurry through a zipper, although I didn't do that because it wasn't really possible since I hadn't done it possibly 20+ years. ; )
