Scrapbooking

One of my goals for 2010 was to get caught up on my scrapbooking. I was at November of 2007, now 17 pages (sides) later I'm only at February 2008. Scrapbooking is something I want to do, but it is not something I like, let alone love. I used to like it, but now I find it more of a chore. Maybe because of my goal I'm just trying to get it done instead of trying to create. Contributing to the "problem" is that I'm not remembering where all the scrapbooking stash is located. I am slowly finding things and remembering to use certain items. Just last night I thought about the corner rounder.

What to do? I've accomplished quite a bit over the last few weeks and that not at a mad dash, so I'll keep on slowly. Meanwhile, I think I'll go look at the other scrapbooks I've done and see if I can get some motivational inspiration or inspirational motivation. ;-)

Tomorrow is another day and another weekly quilt block. Right now I'm enjoying that more.

Totally unrelated, but cheerful:

I just completed a book for my sister called "Wit and Wisdom for Marriage." At her bridal shower the guests wrote out their wit and wisdom and I placed them in the book along with dozens of pictures.

Can I just say, I do not like scrapping. I don't. No, not one bit. I like the results, but the process, well, I don't like it.

I suppose that means that I"m going to have to re-think how I blog. In other words I'm going to have to blog more so that I capture all those moments.

BTW, I like your new background. Especially the color - orange is my favorite. Where did you get the new layout?

Remember the KISS principle.

The background is one of the Blogger templates.

Totally off the subject, but scrapbooking made me remember that I was reading your mom's "Short Takes" the other day (you know how much I enjoy them) and a thought came to me. I don't know if this is the answer to printing a lot of booklets or not, but what if you just burned some of them to a disc, sort of a digital scrapbook. Some might like them that way. They would have the option of printing a booklet for themselves if they so desired. You could weigh the expense.

Anyway, just a weird and random thought. They tend to come to my mind from time to time.
