Look at Oh Fransson's site and her quilt along. She has a marvelous trick for getting her squares to line up. It involves freezer paper. I now own a roll just for sewing!
It is not the end of the world if the alignment is not perfect. If you are consistent with your seams it will be very close. Is the fabric significant?

Looks wonderful. I know that trepidation that comes from beginning the sewing. Then it all gets important.
