One more (maybe) Christmas/Winter dress

Amy uses this pattern so often it's falling apart. She uses it so much that one page of the English directions has left the building. The only directions available to me were in Spanish. Now I know Spanish some, but not enough to sew by it. And wouldn't you know, there are no pictures with the Spanish version. Why is that? So I went to Hobby Lobby and bought myself the pattern (it was on sale for $1.99). One could easily make several of these on one day, it's so easy.

Oh, what a great dress! She looks like she stepped right out of the Seventies.

It's been awhile since I've checked any of the blogs, and it was great fun coming here this evening. You have certainly been busy with all the doll dresses, aprons, and pinafores. They are all adorable!!!

I, also, have to say that I absolutely love your Let Me Sew poem. It definitely says it all, doesn't it?

May you and your family have a blessed Christmastide.

Mom used to trace patterns that she borrowed onto newspaper. I don't remember how she recorded the directions. You got a good price for the new pattern, but even tissue paper or the back of wrapping paper could be used to copy a pattern and its instructions. Just another Great Depression hint.

Another bag idea: using a mitten shape and size, the bag could hold change, glasses, pens/pencils, keys, etc. Simply velcro the opening.
