More clothes : )

This skirt is made from a 1/4 yard remnant I got for .25. Not bad.

This skirt came from Dollar Tree (along with three others). They are skirts for babies 6-12 months. Someone mentioned these on the AG fans board. I brought them home and Amy sewed the side seams smaller to fit the dolls. I added the pink ribbon to this one to break up all the white.

My life ; )

ETA: Using Monday's post for Sew Crafty Friday. :) Head over to Shereen's to see what others are up to.

I really do not spend all my time playing with dolls and sewing for them. Honest. It's just more fun to blog about them.

Emily got a new pair of shoes. They are Kit's Meet shoes, but they look great on Emily. I got them on ebay for a pretty good price.

Here's Josefina's regency style dress that I finished today.

And her skirt I did on Saturday.

Tomorrow I'm going to finish an outfit I'm making for the AG Fans Board sewing swap. Let's just say sewing is therapy. :)

I need prayer for some health issues I'm having. I may blog about them later (or not), but for now I'd appreciate prayer.

Happy Independence Day! (A bit late.)

Do we know/remember why we celebrate?

Josefina's New Clothes

Click on the picture above to go to Shereen's blog to see what others are doing.

I made Josefina a new skirt and camisa this week. I didn't have to buy anything new thanks to my stash. ;) This outfit went together quickly due to Amy's having cut it out for me.

I raided my scrapbooking supplies for the ribbon sash. It's not all that Mexican, but it matches.

Our National Anthem

I watched this short video about our National Anthem. It's worth 12 minutes of your time.

AG History

You can read about the history of the American Girl Company here. Pleasant Rowland was the founder and owner until she sold her company (Pleasant Company) to Mattel in 1998.

Welcome to the Family

I have been blessed with a "new" Josefina. I got a good deal on her from another member of AG Fans Board. Amy & I met Michelle last winter then ran into her again a couple weeks ago. She said she was selling two of her dolls, one being a pre-Mattel Josefina. That got my interest. We went to see her today; she's in great shape. So welcome to Josefina. Emily's got a friend. : )

Amy's already got three or more outfits cut out and ready to sew. I think we'll have a sewing day. : )
